The device (1) has an electric filter (5) provided in a stove pipe (3), a chimney and a smoke duct (4), where particles carried in a flue gas are ionizable with the electric filter in the region of a spray electrode and are accumulated on a deposition electrode that is arranged downstream in a flow direction. A heating unit i.e. central heating rod, is provided in the region of the deposition electrode. The spray electrode is surrounded by the deposition electrode that is formed in the form of a heatable shell part.
