<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording reaction liquid which improves bleeding that is a big problem at the printing on a plain paper by inkjet recording method, develops no strike through, and enables favorable image formation reconciling fixability and color developing properties as well as continuous delivery by heat energy much longer than ever, and to provide recording method employing thereof and further an inkset consisting of the reaction liquid and pigment ink. <P>SOLUTION: This inkjet recording reaction liquid is employed together with the pigment ink and develops reaction by the contact with the pigment ink and includes (a) a multivalent metal salt, (b) a chelating agent and (c) a liquid medium and, at the same time, this reaction liquid has a liquid composition having a condition forming constant in combination between the multivalent metal and the chelating agent becoming ≤2.5.
