<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming unit making the reading operation of a manuscript image unnecessary when copying an original on and after a second time and thereafter, in a unit for preventing illegal copy using paper fingerprint information. <P>SOLUTION: When registering a paper fingerprint, manuscript image data are read from the original. Also, the paper fingerprint information is read from the original. Thereafter, the manuscript image data and the paper fingerprint information are registered in an information processing unit in a relational manner. At the time of copying, the paper fingerprint information read from the original is transmitted to the unit so as to make the unit decide whether the registration of the paper fingerprint information is completed. When the decision of completed registration is received, the manuscript image data having been registered with the paper fingerprint information in a relational manner are read out from the unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
