<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light SSB (Single Side Band) transmitter capable of demodulating without pouring an optical carrier at a recipient side, and moreover, obtaining a higher degree of side band oppression. <P>SOLUTION: The light SSB transmitter uses a single carrier electrical signal of a constant magnitude having a frequency fo generated by a single carrier signal generator 12 and a frequency-multiplexed signal with a multi-carrier electrical signal having a frequency band fs generated by a multi-carrier signal generator 11 to modulate carrier light via a carrier oppression light SSB modulator and output the modulated signal light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
