<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the load of printing control and reduce a network load in printing using a plurality of printers. <P>SOLUTION: Before a personal computer PC outputs a print request, the personal computer PC sets and outputs to each printer a group specification condition including at least one of printer attributes that classify the printers, such as a printer model, a printer type, a section class and a location class. Each printer P receiving the group specification condition matches the group specification condition from the personal computer PC against group information, which is its own printer attributes held in advance, and if the group specification condition matches, outputs a response result representing that the group specification condition is satisfied to the personal computer PC.
