PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing structure of a roofing material and a roofing material construction method for fitting various kinds of roofing materials between main houses formed of C-shape steel. SOLUTION: A fixing structure of a roofing material is a fixed structure in which the roofing material 3 is fitted to an opening side and a back side of the C-shape steel 2 fixed to a skeleton 1 at a designated space. In the fixing structure, the end edge (a first fitting part 32) of the roofing material 3A disposed on the opening side is located in the interior of the C-shape steel 2, and press-bonded to the inner surface by a pressing means, and the end edge (a second fitting part 33a) of the roofing material 3A disposed on the back side is fitted to cover an outer flange (an upper flange 22) of the C-shape steel 2.
