PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turn-trap type water closet which can enhance the draining performance and cleaning performance for wastewater containing filthy matter, by making the amount of the discharge of the wastewater temporarily larger and increasing the force of water. SOLUTION: In this turn-trap type water closet, a trap case 3a is provided in such a manner as to be connected to a drainage channel 4 of a bowl 6 of a water closet body 9, and a trap portion 1a, which is connected to the drainage channel 4 and vertically turned by a driving mechanism, is provided in the trap case 3a. After the trap portion 1a is temporarily turned further upward from an almost upward water-supply attitude before moving to an almost lateral water-discharge attitude from the almost upward water-supply attitude, it is turned downward and turned into the almost lateral water-discharge attitude.
