<p>The method involves exposing printing plates at an exposure device. Cartridges (20), which are equipped with the printing plates, are conveyed within an area of a printing unit (15). Data record, which is assigned to the cartridges, is provided within the area of the printing unit. The printing plates are taken out from the cartridges and supplied to the respective printing units for executing a printing plate exchange under alignment with the data record, which is assigned to the cartridges. An independent claim is also included for a rotary printing press e.g. newspaper printing machine, with an exposure device.</p> |
