<p>The invention relates to a cosmetic comprising one or more coloured effect pigments, the cosmetic comprising (a) an effect pigment A having an aluminium-containing core, with a colouring, enveloping layer of aluminium oxide, aluminium hydroxide and/or aluminium oxide hydrate, produced on the surface by wet-chemical oxidation of the aluminium-containing core, and/or (b) an effect pigment B having a core enveloped by at least one metal oxide layer, the at least one metal oxide layer comprising at least one colour pigment.
