The invention relates to a method for protecting fish and invertebrates a nd all the development stages thereof, and for treating mycoses caused by fu ngi of the genera Saprolegnia, Aphanomyces, Achlyaflagellata and other speci es of significance in aquaculture by using at least one fungicide selected f rom the group 2-[[[[1-[3(1fluoro-2-phenylethyl)-oxy]-phenyl]-ethylidene] -am ino]-oxy]-methyl]-alpha-(methoxyimino)-N-methyl-alphaE-benzene acetamide, am isulbrom, cyazofamide, enestrobin, famoxadone, fenamidone, fluoxastrobin, or ysastrobin, picoxystrobin and pyribencarb. Said usage leads to a suppression or killing of pathogenic fungi. The agent comprising at least one fungicide selected from the above group for use in fish farming and raising is suitab le for the prophylaxis and therapy of diseases in fishes in aquaculture, in breeding ponds, breeding tanks, aquaria, natural sport-fishing waters, ponds , and marine fish farms. The associated application forms are an addition to water and feed, and direct application. The addition of the agent according to the invention to water reduces fungicidal infections of spawn and fish.
