A content distribution system which distributes contents in the order in which moving of a terminal device is considered, so that the system can prevent a non-downloadable state of a content desired to download from continuing and can download the content efficiently. In the system, content distribution devices (121) to (123) are arranged in the predetermined order on the movement path of the terminal device (130). When the terminal device (130) is unsuccessful in downloading the content distributed from one of the content distribution devices (121) to (123), the system distributes the content whose downloading is unsuccessful so that the terminal device (130) can preferentially download the content from one of the content distribution devices (121) to (123) which the terminal device (130) approaches next. The terminal device (130) downloads each content by approaching the content distribution devices (121) to (123) one by one while moving.
