<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly perform transmission of rotation motion and torque between an input shaft and an output shaft even when a lock device is switched in the lock-on state under the circumstance that a transmission variable device is abnormal. <P>SOLUTION: The steering control device for the vehicle has a transmission ratio variable device 20 for changing a transmission ratio by relatively rotating the output shaft 18 relative to the input shaft 16; and the lock device 56 being switched to the lock-on state for suppressing variation of the transmission ratio between the input shaft and the output shaft and to the lock-off state for allowing variation of the transmission ratio between the input shaft and the output shaft. The transmission ratio variable device has an electric motor 26 and a speed-reduction mechanism 27, and a stator 28 of the electric motor is fixed to a vehicle body 32 of the vehicle. In the lock-on state, the lock device suppresses the input shaft and a rotor 30 of the electric motor from being relatively rotated with each other, and in the lock-off state, the lock device allows the input shaft and the rotor to be relatively rotated with each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
