PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating material easy to handle, can be uniformly diluted and having a suitable viscosity even diluted with water. SOLUTION: The coating material is characterized by containing an additive agent for thickening adjusted to express viscosity or gelation when added to the objective substance containing water by dissolving a paste material and a viscosity expression suppressing agent into water to impart a liquid with flowability caused by suppressing the viscosity expression of the paste material.
