The method involves using at least one specimen light source (1), whose spectrum has at least one maximum and at least one light source (2,3) of adjustable intensity with only one spectral maximum, whereby all spectral maxima are at different wavelengths. It involves producing light with a color reproduction value of at least 90 for selection of the color temperature by superimposing the light of the light sources with respective separate maxima and changing the intensity of the variable intensity light sources. An independent claim is also included for an arrangement for emitting light.
