Plate heat exchanger

The heat exchanger has a carrier plate fixed to a function unit above it, and a first holding plate (3') between the plate stack (1) and the carrier plate. An independent holding device (4) acts between the first and second holding plates (3', 3), so that the holding device keeps the plate stack together when the clamping device is not effective.
