The present invention is related to the construction and chemical industry in general, and more particularly to the industry intended to produce water-proofing coatings, and mainly to a novel modified asphalt composition for water-proofing membranes; this latter composition is characterized in that it comprises a mixture of asphalt with pure or recycled oil or a mixture of pure or recycled oils; a primary modifier selected from atactic polypropylene (APP) or butadiene styrene (SBS) and a load of calcium carbonate CaCO3; and at least an additional primary modifier for improving the physical and functional properties thereof selected from isotactic polypropylene (IPP) and/or low-density polyethylene (LDP).
