An active distortion compensator of a relay is provided to minimize a time delay in error compensation in accordance with inference signals by using a hybrid type signal distortion compensation scheme where both the analog and the digital signal distortion compensation scheme are applied. An active distortion compensator of a relay includes the first line driver(10a), the first signal detector(30a), a compensator(20), the second line driver(10b), the second signal detector(30b), a controller(40), an output driver(50) and a monitor signal output device(60). The first line driver(10a) analyzes inputted analog signals, generates digital signals with respect to an inference signal level, amplifies distorted signals according to each of the analog signals and the digital signals, offsets each other between the analog signals and the digital signals, and formats them. The first signal detector adjusts a signal level of the signals formatted by the first line driver according to an operation condition of the compensator. The compensator synchronizes the analog signals and the digital signals with a main synchronizing signal and compensates for error signals with respect to a digitally converted signal system. The second line driver converts the signals, compensated by the compensator, into analog signals. The second signal detector amplifies the converted analog signals to an output level and detects the analog signals. The controller controls an error compensation procedure of the compensator by referring to outputted feedback data. The output driver finally outputs the signals amplified and adjusted by the second signal detector. The monitor signal output device, which is a connection interface with an external display unit like a monitor, feeds the outputted signals, which pass through the compensation procedure, back to the controller.
