1415610 Golf practising apparatus J BECKISH 31 Dec 1973 [5 Feb 1973] 60294/73 Heading A6D In a golf swing training device of the type in which the golf club 54 is guided along a track 15, which is adjustable to compensate for the height and physical frame of the trainee, the track 15 is pivoted to vertical rods 18, 19, 30, 31 which are vertically adjustable in standards 11, 12, 13, 14, the standards 11, 12, 13, 14 are carried by blocks 16, 17, 34, 35 and each block 16, 17, 34, 35 is universally adjustable in a horizontal plane by a pair of threaded rods arranged at right angles to each other. The mechanism for adjusting the blocks horizontally is enclosed in a base frame 10. The standard 11 is carried by a block 16 which can be moved along a channel member 22 by a threaded rod 24, and the channel member 22 can be moved by a threaded rod 26 arranged at right angles to the channel member 22. The other standards 12, 13, 14 are similarly mounted. The rods 18, 19, 30, 31 can be vertically adjusted in the standards by lock nuts 20, 21, 32, 33. The golf club 54 is detachably secured by a clamp to a guide member 44 (Fig. 4) which includes four arms 45 pivoted to a plate 46 and which carry runners 47 which are urged into engagement with the track 15 by springs 49. The guide member 44 also includes track contact elements 51 which are urged into engagement with the track 15 by springs 50. |
