PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate an observation result image having an ultrasound image which is displayed onto an observation monitor connected to a device, that is easy to observe by ultrasound. SOLUTION: An output signal conversion part 7 includes: a scale conversion part 41 for converting a size of a display area of an ultrasound image generated by an ultrasound signal processing part; a controller 40 for controlling scale conversion of the scale conversion part 41 on the basis of storage data stored in a scale data storage part 43 under the control of the CPU; and a signal conversion part 42 for converting image data converted by the scale conversion part 41 into prescribed image signals (SVGA, RGB, composite, and DV).
