<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication apparatus capable of further reducing power consumption in comparison with the conventional one. <P>SOLUTION: A radio control unit 11 accepts input of digital data of 4 channels to be transmitted and generates an amplitude information signal and a 16-value QAM signal from the accepted digital data. An amplifier 21 in a bias control circuit 16 amplifies the amplitude information signal and a capacitor 23 generates an envelope signal that is the envelope of a signal rectified by a diode 22, and supplies it to a final amplifier 14. The final amplifier 16 operates by being supplied with a drive power source from the bias control circuit 16, amplifies a radio frequency (RF) signal and radiates it via an antenna 15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
