PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat sink which has high cooling efficiency and can be miniaturized. SOLUTION: The heat sink contacting a heat-generating article for cooling includes a main body made of a foamed metal including a plurality of holes, and a first flow passage and a second flow passage provided on the main body, wherein a cooling medium introduced through the first flow passage is exhausted from the second flow passage through the holes. Preferably, flat plates are provided so as to cover each of the surfaces of the main body, and a flat plate has an intake opening port for introducing the cooling medium into the first flow passage and an exhaust opening port for exhausting the cooling medium from the second flow passage.
