PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a decay of output signal caused by X-rays, cosmic rays, or the like at a non-operating time of photoelectric conversion device. SOLUTION: The photoelectric conversion device comprises a photoelectric conversion element; an amplifying transistor in which a gate is electrically connected to an output end of the photoelectric conversion element, and source voltage is applied to its drain; a switching element in which one end is electrically connected to an electrical path connecting the output edge of the photoelectric conversion element and the gate of the amplifying transistor, and the other end is electrically connected to a node capable of supplying a voltage smaller than the source voltage to the other end; and a control means which controls a voltage supplied by the node, and the on/off state of the switching element. The control means controls so that the node supplies the voltage, smaller than the source voltage to the other end of the switching element in a period during which a signal by photoelectric conversion of the photoelectric conversion element, is not utilized, as well as, turns on the switching element.
