<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive vibration wave driver having small individual differences, and to provide an oscillator. <P>SOLUTION: The oscillator 104 is provided with a cylindrical piezoelectric element 101, a shaft bar 102 and a coupling part 103. The coupling part 103 is constituted of an overhanging member which is integrally formed in the shaft bar 102 and has spring property. The coupling part 103 is constituted of a shape or material quality, with which the amount of elastic deformation with respect to the force of the same size becomes larger than that for the cylindrical piezoelectric element 102 and the shaft bar 102, in the radial direction of the cylindrical piezoelectric element 101. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
