In the phosphor layer 7, MgO crystal 7B containing a magnesium crystalline body having a characteristic of emitting cathode luminescence having a peak in a wavelength range of 200-300 nm by being excited by an electron beam, and a secondary electron emission material containing a low-work-function material 7C are included.
