PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic turbine for hydroelectric power generation capable of limiting rise of rotation speed at a time of load shut off, simplifying and miniaturizing a structure. SOLUTION: A runner 48 rotated by water flowing to an outlet port from an inlet port in a casing 45 and a rotatable main shaft 50 interlocking and connected with the runner 48 and a generator are provided. The runner 48 comprises a runner boss 63 externally fitted on the main shaft 50 and rotating as one body with the main shaft 50, and a plurality of blades 64 attached on a face side S1 facing a channel 61 of the runner boss 63. A plurality of baffle plates 76 which becomes rotary resistance of the runner 48 are provided on a back side S2 of the runner boss 63. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
