PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to adjust white balance in a simpler structure. SOLUTION: A color sensor 43R, 43G, or 43B in a backlight 12 detects emission luminance of a red, green, or blue color in accordance with spectral sensitivity characteristics corresponding to a red, green, or blue color. To an operating part 61 of a light source control part 32, a value of a light-receiving signal taken in at a given timing supplied from each AD converter 44R, 44G, 44B is supplied from a sampling part 53. The operating part 61 finds a supply current value corrected by falling amount of light receiving sensitivity due to spectral sensitivity characteristics of the color sensor 43R, 43G, or 43B by approximating in a linear equation changing amount of light receiving sensitivity depending on changes of light wavelengths of each LED 41R, 41G, or 41B based on the spectral sensitivity characteristics.
