PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for easily manufacturing a clutch valve valve spool. SOLUTION: The hydrostatic continuously variable transmission is configured so as to carry out the continuously variable speed change by connecting a swash plate plunger type hydraulic pump (P) and a swash plate plunger type hydraulic motor (M) via a closed hydraulic circuit, and by variably controlling the inclination angle of the swash plate of the hydraulic motor. A valve spool (70) movably arranged in a spool bore (6d) formed in a support shaft (6) of the hydraulic pump and the hydraulic motor extending in the axial direction is equipped with a first spool member (171) having a guide land part fitted in a guide member (77), and a second spool member (172) having a central land part (73), a left land part (74), and a valve part for communicating or shutting off high pressure side and low pressure side clutch oil passages according to its axial movement.
