RECORDING PARAMETER SETUP METHOD, INFORMATION RECORDING MEDIUM, AND ITS REPRODUCING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form recording marks which obtain more reliable and excellent reproduced signals while suppressing the number of recording parameters.

SOLUTION: This parameter setup method has a head section recording parameter grouping process to classify a front parameter group for controlling the heat on the front edges of recording marks by classifying the recording mark lengths from a first predetermined mark length to the maximum mark length into the same group, and a cooling start position grouping process to classify the cooling start position in the cooling period for controlling the heat on the rear edges of the recording marks by classifying the recording mark lengths from a second predetermined mark length to the maximum mark length into the same group. The second predetermined recording mark length is longer than the first predetermined recording mark length.
