<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which is deep in depth of focus and is easily handled. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus is provided with an optical system imaging light and a photodetector receiving the light imaged by the optical system. In the relation between an incident position being a position on the entrance pupil of the optical system and lateral aberration with respect to a light beam incident on the incident position, in the range between a first incident position away from an optical axis by a first distance and the optical axis, size of the lateral aberration is larger as the distance from the optical axis to the incident position is longer and it is almost symmetrical with the optical axis as a center. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
