Lorry cab wind deflector - is funnel shaped to form air curtain in front of trailing vehicle

The wind deflector is for mounting on the cab of a lorry hauling a trailing vehicle, its central portion comprising a funnel-shaped tunnel shaped to as to compress the air flow. Thus on discharge from the tunnel the velocity of this air is increased, forming a protective air curtain in front of the trailing vehicle, thus largely freeing the forward end of the latter from wind resistance. The supporting bar of the deflector can be at an obtuse angle to its surface and thus solely under compression load, making for greater rigidity.
