Decoding of every stereopair is carried out with surface formation of corresponding body part of consumer. Surface of virtual manikin is formed. The data is transferred in the clothing computer-aided design system. Selected data points of the virtual manikin surface are chosen in accordance with clothing item. Amounts of clearance are set up in the points and 3D construction of designed item is made. Articulation lines, drawing and material texture are applied. Unfolding of 3D construction is carried out on the surface with material quality taken into consideration. Curves of garment model are made and are taken to automatic tailoring. ^ EFFECT: invention provides possibility of new models designing of any complexity, and also quality improvement of item fitting for any type of body with quality of used materials taken into consideration. ^ 2 tbl, 14 dwg
