PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector constituted so that the housing thereof can be set with no tilt in right and left directions, dispensing with the manual fine adjustment. SOLUTION: The projector 100 includes a first adjusting means 50 for adjusting the extension amount of a leg part (30L and 30R) stepwise and a second adjusting means 60 for finely adjusting the extension amount adjusted by the first adjusting means 50. The second adjusting means 60 includes: a tilt calculating part 109 for calculating the tilt amount of the housing 10 in the right and left directions related to a prescribed datum level; a leg part extending/collapsing drive part (110L and 110R) for extending/collapsing at least one of the leg parts (30L and 30R); and a tilt correction control part 108 for controlling the leg part extending/collapsing drive part (110L and 110R) based on the tilt amount calculated by the tilt calculating part 109.
