PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for specifically detecting or separating a polyphenol compound. SOLUTION: The method for detecting or separating a polyphenol compound is constituted so as to bring a sample containing the polyphenol compound into contact with a detection or separation reaction agent prepared, by bonding at least two same or different residues of an amino acid selected from alginine and lysine to peptide or lysine.
