<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device and a manufacturing method of a display device capable of omitting a high-vacuum process, after formation of an electron emission part by eliminating a process of exposing the electron emitting part in the atmosphere, capable of reducing the manufacturing cost, restraining to a minimum a volume of gas molecules desorbing from a substrate surface, and restraining degradation of the lifetime. <P>SOLUTION: The image display device 1 has a plurality of light-emitting elements 2 arrayed equipped with a conductive layer 12 on a cathode substrate 11; an insulating layer 13 on the conductive layer 12 and equipped with a hollow part 14a airtightly formed and reduced in pressure down to a given pressure lower than the atmosphere; an anode electrode 31 formed on the insulating layer 13 with its part arranged in opposition to the conductive layer 12 with the hollow part 14a in between; a graphite layer 20 formed on the conductive layer 12, with its part at least exposed in the hollow part 14a for emitting electrons by a potential difference of the conductive layer 12 and the anode electrode 31; and a light-emitting layer 32 fitted at an anode electrode 31 side and emitting light by the electrons emitted from the graphite layer 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
