PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a cutting tool usable without anxiety in not only a home environment having the possibility of unexpected using ways by infants and the aged but also a work environment for handling contaminant and polluted substance by thin protective gloves at a medical field, etc. by providing a cutting mechanism part absolutely safe and simple in structure in a meaning that fingers, etc. do not absolutely touch a cutting blade to be equipped in the cutting tool for flexible thin paper, cloth, film or adhesive tape, etc. SOLUTION: The fingers, etc. are absolutely prevented from touching the cutting blade by installing the cutting blade in a corner part formed by two barrier faces. By introducing the concept of an insert for pressing an object to be cut in the cutting blade, the cutting blade placed in the corner part carries out a function as the cutting tool.
