PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester-based resin composition comprised of a polyester resin and a polyamide resin, and excellent in gas barrier property, transparency, color tone, and pinhole resistance, and usable for making a film, a sheet, and a thin-walled hollow vessel. SOLUTION: The polyester based resin composition is produced by melt kneading of an element comprised of a polyester resin and a polyamide resin, or further containing a polyethylene terephthalate resin, with a cyclic acetal skeleton-having diol and a polyethylene terephthalate resin.
