PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording apparatus capable of suppressing lift of a recording medium when recording is performed even when warpage of the recording medium is large and corresponding to a marginless recording. SOLUTION: The inkjet recording apparatus is equipped with sucking means 21 and 22 acting a sucking force on the recording medium 4 from a sucking hole 2 formed on a platen 1, and a flexible member 3 arranged so as to come into contact with the side end part of the recording medium on the platen. By bringing the recording medium into contact with the flexible member, a space X which can keep the sucking force from the sucking hole on the lower side of the side end part of the recording medium is formed. By the sucking force kept in the space X, the side end part of the recording medium is brought into close contact with the platen against the elastic force of the flexible member 3.
