<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce current consumption generated due to a transfer clock signal to be output by an interface controller. <P>SOLUTION: An interface controller is provided with a clock generation part for outputting a transfer clock signal; and a control part for performing the transmission/reception of command line data through a command line with electronic equipment or the transmission/reception of data line data through a data line with the electronic equipment based on the transfer clock signal. The control part permits the output of a transfer clock signal from the clock generation part only in a command line transmission/reception period for performing the transmission/reception of the command line data and a data line transmission/reception period for performing the transmission/reception of the data line data.
