PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new vinyl polymer and a new blocking agent easily produced by chemical synthesis and having satisfactory noise reduction effect in immuno-diagnosis and the like, and a method for producing probe-bound particles using the same. SOLUTION: The vinyl polymer has a group expressed by general formula (1) [wherein R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>each independently represent a hydrogen atom or a group having 1-11 species of an amino group or an imino group or one of both, and the sum of the amino groups and imino groups included in R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>is 2-11].
