<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control system capable of preventing theft of a vehicle equipped with an automatic transmission. <P>SOLUTION: A shift controller 20 for controlling and switching shift ranges of an automatic transmission 3 in accordance with shift orders inputted by an occupant in the vehicle locks an output shaft of the automatic transmission 3 when an order for switching into a parking range is inputted and releases locking of the output shaft when an order for releasing the parking range is inputted. An information checking device 60 checks the inherent information of an electronic key 9 and the living body information of the occupant obtained by a transmitting and receiving machine 62 in the vehicle and a living body sensor 64, respectively, against the inherent information of the electronic key 9 and the living body information of a regular user stored in individual checking computers 66, 67. As a result, a shift control computer 34 of the shift controller 20 accepts the order for releasing the parking range when it is determined that these types of information agree, but refuses the order for releasing when it is determined that these types of information do not agree. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
