PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire enhancing durability by suppressing breakage of a cord embedded in a carcass layer while suppressing an increase of the tire weight. SOLUTION: A first carcass layer 15 and a second carcass layer 16 which continuously extend inside a bead part, a side wall part and a tread part, over these parts are layered on each other. A reinforcing rubber layer 25 in which the size of the tire width direction H is decreased gradually as being separated along the tire radial direction from a part opposite a terminating end 19a of a return part 19 on the inner side of the tire width direction H is provided between a side part of a carcass body 18 on the second carcass layer 16 and the return part 19 of the first carcass layer 15.
