PURPOSE:To penetrate a sheet pile in either parallel or vertical direction without curving by offsetting closing resistance to be generated on the recessed face side of the sheet pile by a method in which two sheet piles are concurrently penetrated in a connected state. CONSTITUTION:The interval between the chucks 28 and 29 of chucking devices 17 and 18 is made smaller to hold two sheet piles P in the connected state. The devices 17 and 18 are lowered by an oil-pressure cylinder, the interval between the chucks 28 and 29 is widened, and the devices 17 and 18 are riased. The interval between the chucks 28 and 29 is again narrowed, and the devices 17 and 18 are lowered in a state of holding the sheet piles P. These operations are repeated. Since the two sheet piles P can be concurrently penetrated in the state of being connected with each other. The closing resistance to be generated in the recessed face side of the sheet pile can be offset, and the sheet piles can be penetrated without curving. |
