PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera device designed so that a distance required for manual operation in order to move a cover body is shorter than that in a conventional camera device, and a mechanism for moving the cover body is prevented from projecting from the surface of a cabinet during the operation of a mechanism that moves the cover body. SOLUTION: The camera device has on the cabinet 1: a photographic lens 5; the cover body 2 reciprocally moves between a first position for covering the photographic lens 5 and a second position for exposing the photographic lens 5; a link plate 6 disposed so as to be rotatable on the cabinet 1 and connected to the cover body 2; and a slide body 3 disposed so as to be slidable on the cabinet 1 in a direction almost the same as the cover body 2 and connected to the link plate 6. The amount of stroke of the cover body 2 between the first and second positions is larger than the amount of slide of the slide body 3. The slide body 3 does not project beyond the outside of the surface of the cabinet 1, and slides only within the surface of the cabinet 1. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
