PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection type display device which can be made compact by allowing interference of the optical path of projected light from a reflection mirror to a screen with component parts. SOLUTION: The projector 1 to be arranged between the screen 4 and the reflection mirror 3 is arranged so that it can intercept a part of projected light 2 reflected by the reflection mirror 3 and a shadow 6 formed by intercepting the projected light 2 may be projected to other than the screen 4.
