PURPOSE:To obtain high magnetic force as well as to enhance the productivity of the title magnetic roll by a method wherein the material, containing a specific quantity of resin selected from the group consisting of the copolymer of ethylene and other monomer and chlorinated polyethylene, is used as a high molecular polymer. CONSTITUTION:A high molecular polymer containing the resin of 50wt%, desirably 70wt% or more, selected from the group consisting of the copolymer of ethylene and other monomer and chlorinated polyethylene is used as the high molecular polymer. Then, the mixture 2 of said high molecular polymer and magnetic powder is formed in one body with a roll supporting shaft 1 by performing a magnetic field injection molding. The copolymer of ethylene and other monomer can be obtained by copolymerizing ethylene and other monomer, and unsaturated carboxylic acid such as unsaturated carboxylic acid ester, acrylic acid, methacrylic acid and the like, polyvinyl acetate, vinyl chloride and the like are used as the other monomer. Also, the above-mentioned resin can be used by blending with other thermoplastic resin such as nylon, polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene and the like. The low degree of crystallization and the low degree of contraction in crystallization are considered the reason why the high molecular polymer is effective as above-mentioned. |
