PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an erasable image recording material having excellent coloring characteristics and presenting a clear blue color. SOLUTION: The image recording material contains a binder resin, a coloring compound dispersed in the binder resin and a color developing agent. The coloring compound contains crystal violet lactone and 2-anilino-6-(N-alkyl-N-alkylamino)-3-methyl-fluoran and the color developing agent contains ethyl gallate and 2, 2', 4, 4'-tetrahydroxy benzophenone or 2, 4, 4'-trihydroxy benzophenone.
