PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound lens capable of facilitating the determination of an optical axis alignment, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The compound lens 1 is composed of a first lens 2 and a second lens 2. The first lens 2 is composed of a first lens effective part 11 and a first flange 12. The second lens 3 is composed of a second lens effective part 31, a second flange 32, and a cylindrical part 33. A first groove 16 serving as a first marker 15 is formed in the first flange part 12 of the first lens 2.
