PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine that can further reduce vibration and noise. SOLUTION: The rotary electric machine 10 includes a housing 40, which accommodates a rotor 20 and a stator 30, and a cover 50, which closes an opening portion 42 of the housing 40. An end plate member 70 is made to contact the end surface at the opening portion 42 side of the stator 30. A bolt 80 is inserted from an opening at the opening portion 42 side of a hole 72 formed in the end plate member 70 to one opening of a through hole 32 and its top end protruding from the other opening of the through hole 32 is fixed to the bottom portion 44 of the housing 40. A bolt 90 is inserted from an opening outside the cover of a hole 52 formed in the cover 50 and its top end protruding from the other opening of the hole 52 is fixed to the end plate member 70.
