PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small and lightweight driving machine not requiring arrangement of a gear for moving a spring. SOLUTION: This driving machine 1 comprises a drum 51 rotary driven by a motor installed to a housing, a coil spring arranged in the housing and energizing a plunger for driving a nail, a wire 52 fixed to the drum 51 on one side and connected to the coil spring on the other side, and a clutch mechanism 4 selectively blocking a driving force of the motor to the drum 51. The clutch mechanism 4 comprises a pin supporting part 42 rotary driven by the motor, a power transmission pin 43 movably supported by the pin supporting part 42, a pin guide groove 41b contacting one end of the power transmission pin 43 and defining a moving volume of the power transmission pin 43 according to a peripheral position of the pin supporting part 42, and a drum hook 44 installed to the drum 51 and lockable with the other end of the power transmission pin 43 according to movement of the power transmission pin 43.
