The invention relates to a method and a system for determining spatially distributed physical and/or chemical measured variables (f(X_i)) in a liquid or gaseous medium (F), at least two wireless measuring sensors (M) being distributed in the medium (F). The measured variables (f(X_i)) are determined in the fluid (F) by means of the wireless measuring sensors (M) and are transmitted to an evaluation unit with the help of wireless data transmission.
